'King's Game The Animation' Episode 2 Spoilers: Cursed Game Begins Anew; Can Nobuaki Save His Classmates This Time Around?

Just when Nobuaki Kanazawa thought he has finally rid himself of a cursed game, the King somehow finds a way to hound his life again on the Japanese horror-mystery anime series "Ousama Game The Animation (King's Game The Animation)."

As it is, the King's Game is a deadly affair controlled by a mysterious individual who goes by the name King. This said individual sends orders through text that each participant must carry out within 24 hours of receiving it, or else a punishment will be accorded them that most often than not equates to death.

Participation in the game is mandatory. Ignoring the orders as well as taking unnecessary actions are both punishable by death. Participants are also not allowed to drop out of the game halfway through.

Nobuaki has already gone through this same nightmare in his old school and was no longer interested in getting involved with it yet again. But when an ignored order eventually led to the deaths of his new classmates, he could no longer deny the fact that a new round of the King's Game has just begun, and that King has also just chosen him to be one of the participants.

But since his classmates have also just begun to suspect him to be masterminding the whole deal, it seems that this upcoming round of the Game will be doubly trying for Nobuaki. Will he be able to convince his classmate of his innocence, especially after they've all seen one of their classmates lose his life in a rather supernatural way?

What is the true nature of this diabolical game, and why does it seem to be hounding Nobuaki? Could he be involved with it in some way or is King someone who has a bone to pick with the high school student and is now determined to turn his life into a nightmare?

Ten students have already lost their lives. How many of the remaining 22 survive the next episode titled "Chaos (Scars Disorder)"?

"King's Game The Animation" airs on Thursdays at 11:30 p.m. JST on AT-X. It also airs on Fridays late night at 1:40 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX and on Sundays late night at 1:30 a.m. JST on BS11.

Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes will also be simulcast in regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
