'King's Game: The Animation' Episode 3 Spoilers: Is the Cursed Game About to End for Nobuaki Kanazawa?
Nobuaki Kanazawa may have survived his first round of the cursed mobile phone game, but could he be so lucky the second time around on the Japanese horror anime series, "King's Game: The Animation"?
After the death of a classmate in the premiere episode confirmed beyond a doubt that the King's Game has once again begun anew, Nobuaki warned his new classmates that they should work together to defeat the game once and for all. However, judging by how he failed to do so the first time around, what assurance does he have that things will be better now, especially when his classmates continue to turn on him?
The previous episode featured a flashback into Nobuaki's old school and how, despite all of his efforts, the King's Game took out his friends and classmates one by one. But while this seems to have given him renewed impetus to go up against the King again, the fact that he has survived the first game has unexpectedly put a huge target on his back.
The episode also served to bring the question of how Nobuaki survived out in the open. Could he really be the only person left from the last game, and if so, what did he have to do in order to stay alive? Did he really have to resort to betraying his closest friend for his own self-preservation, just as Natsuko Honda predicted?
His new classmates sure want to know, some of whom are even willing to play it rough just to force him to reveal it. Natsuko, for one, has just tried to convince Mizuki, who has received an order from the king to text anyone with the word DIE, to send the cursed text to Nobuaki.
It has become much too obvious now that the game took off on the wrong foot for Nobuaki. Could this be the King's way of tying loose ends while also commencing on a new cycle of deaths? Or could Nobuaki have really found a way to defeat the game, and has thus incited the King's wrathful vengeance?
