'Kingsman: The Golden Circle': New Trailer, Poster Revealed; Colin Firth Returns

"Kingsman" fans recently got a double treat as the trailer for its sequel, "Kingsman: The Golden Circle," was revealed at CinemaCon. Additionally, a new poster has also been unveiled.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the trailer for the upcoming sequel was met with wild applause when it debuted in CinemaCon recently. The clip offered a first look at Eggsy (Taron Egerton), who is now a full-blown spy. Like the first film, it seems that the sequel will also be packed with weapons and violence.

The trailer reveals that the Kingsman will be facing a villainous organization that is hard to find because it makes sure that its members become unrecognizable. The Kingsman's London headquarters is destroyed, leading Eggsy and Merlin (Mark Strong) to seek aid from an American ally based in Kentucky.

Channing Tatum's southern spy character is introduced, and it is clear that the American spy organization also has a thing for wild weapons. But perhaps the most exciting revelation of all is Colin Firth's return as Harry Hart.

Fans may recall that Harry died in the first film, but it looks like he survived after all. He now sports an eye patch, though.

Firth's return has been speculated in the past and was seemingly confirmed with teasers and photos. But the trailer, along with a new poster, has officially validated the rumors. The actor's name even appears first in the new poster, which features what looks to be Harry's left arm holding his iconic weaponized umbrella. The poster also sees the right arm of presumably Tatum's character holding his weaponized lasso, which was shown in the trailer. There is a stark difference in the way the two are dressed, with the British spy sporting a suit and the American spy wearing denim.

Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges, Pedro Pascal and Sir Elton John round out the cast. "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" will premiere in U.S. theaters on Sept. 29, 2017.
