'Kino's Journey: The Beautiful World ' Air Date, Spoilers: New Promotional Video Teases CGI and 2D Animation Used in Series
A second promotional video for the upcoming Japanese anime "Kino's Journey: The Beautiful World -The Animated Series" was released, and it teases more of what to expect when it finally begins airing in October.
The trailer, which was published on the series' official site, previews more of Kino's upcoming travels, which will be depicted with the combination of CGI and 2-D animation done by the animation studio, Lerche.
Kino will be traveling to locations across dirt roads, grassy plains, and even along seashores and ancient-looking walls. Together with her talking motorcycle, she is all set to explore new lands and interact with many different sorts of people to learn about their values, cultures, and everyday way of life.
However, it seems that her journey will not always be a smooth experience since she has been revealed to be carrying a gun along for her protection. It also seems that she has trained well in the use of the said weapon.
But despite the dangers that may be lurking in every corner of each new land, Kino's journey will also bring her closer to a variety of new experiences that will range from meeting interesting new friends and tasting delectable cuisines to satisfy her palate.
The upcoming anime series is based on a series of light novels written by Keiichi Sigwasa and illustrated by Kouhaku Kuroboshi. It will be directed by Tomohisa Taniguchi. Yukie Sugawara is in charge of script supervision, and Ryoko Amisaki takes care of the character designs.
The series will also feature Nagi Yanagi's song, "here and there," which will serve as its ending theme song.
"Kino's Journey: The Beautiful World - The Animated Series" premieres on Friday, Oct. 6, at 10 p.m. JST on AT-X and late night at 12:30 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS11. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources will be released at a later time. The series will also be streamed by Crunchyroll in selected regions outside Japan.
