Kobe's Wife, Vanessa Bryant, Pregnant Again! Couple Expecting a Baby Girl
Kobe Bryant and wife, Vanessa Bryant, were happy to announce on Tuesday the coming of their third baby girl.
In social media, Vanessa announced the good news by posting a photo of a onesie on Instagram, pasting the caption "Beyond blessed and excited to share that we are expecting our third baby girl!!! #Blessed #BabyMamba #Thankful." The onesie in the picture was printed with 'Baby Mamba' which originates from Kobe's nickname, 'Black Mamba.'
After Vanessa had set her account private, Kobe shared the same picture in his own Instagram account.
The retired Los Angeles Lakers player met Vanessa in November 1999 when she was just 17. On April 2001, 23-year-old Kobe and 19-year-old Vanessa got married at St. Edward Roman Catholic. Their first daughter, Natalia Diamante Bryant was born on January 19, 2003 in Los Angeles. In 2005, Vanessa suffered a miscarriage due to ectopic pregnancy in which Kobe had blamed himself to. Their second daughter, Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant was born later in May 2006.
However, the couple had also been through a series of ups and downs. Vanessa had filed a divorce against her husband in December 2011 due to "irreconcilable differences."
But the divorce didn't signify the end of their relationship. In January 2013, they revealed that they had called off the divorce. "We are pleased to announce that we have reconciled," Vanessa happily announced on Instagram. "We are looking forward to our future together." Kobe, on the other hand, also posted on his Facebook page, "I am happy to say that Vanessa and I are moving on with our lives together as a family. When the show ends and the music stops, the journey is made beautiful by having someone to share it with."
Since then, the couple had lived in harmony, with now a new blessing soon arriving to their lives.
Kobe Bryant is known to be one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He has helped the Lakers win five NBA championships in his entire 20-year career. In April, Kobe played his final game before saying goodbye to the court. Bryant announced his retirement in November 2015 saying in his poem entitled "Dear Basketball" the lines, "this season is all I have left to give."
