Kordell Stewart to Pay Porsha $5,000 in 'Temporary Support' Amid Divorce

Kordell Stewart has reportedly been ordered to pay his estranged wife Porsha temporary spousal support until their divorce is finalized.

An Atlanta Superior court judge reportedly ordered the former NFL star, 40, to pay Porsha, 31, $5,000 per month in temporary support. Kordell was also allegedly ordered to either return all of the reality TV star's property or cover the cost for her belongings to be placed in a storage unit, according to alleged court documents obtained by HipHopEnquirer.com.

In May, just weeks after Kordell allegedly blindsided Porsha with a divorce filing, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star reportedly filed legal documents claiming Kordell locked her out of their Atlanta home on several occasions and that he refused to give her a key.

Her attorney asked a judge to force Kordell to either allow her to use the family home, or that he pay for the reality TV star to find a "suitable alternative residence," according to TMZ.com.

In April, the reality TV star was accused of calling the police twice to let her into the family home after Kordell reportedly locked her out, but he claimed this was untrue, insisting that she has a key to the home. While he admitted to locking the home, he insisted that it is only for security purposes.

The latest ruling comes months after Kordell, who was married to Porsha for less than two years, reportedly revealed that he is opposed to paying his estranged wife alimony. The pair did not share any biological children, but Kordell has one son from a prior relationship.

"[She's] an able-bodied person, earning income and is capable of supporting herself," Kordell reportedly said just days after his March 22 filing.

Porsha, who is a granddaughter of civil rights leader Hosea Williams, previously opened up about Kordell's divorce filing and admitted that it has been an emotional struggle.

"At times I feel ashamed. It's almost like a failure in a way. But I do know that God has more for me and I know that at the end of the day he probably didn't deserve me," Stewart said on "Good Morning America."

"I feel that I still have a chance to have it all, just maybe a little different this time. But I still strive for that," she added.

The reality TV star maintains that she tried her best to salvage the marriage and expressed disappointment in Kordell's filing.

"At the end of the day it was a betrayal that I suffered from and that's something I'm gonna have to move on with," Stewart said, "but at least I know I put in my best."
