Kourtney Kardashian Announces Pregnancy
Kourtney Kardashian has announced that she and Scott Disick, her partner of five years, are expecting their second child.
"Scott and I are so excited to announce that we are expecting our second child and are thrilled to be expanding the love in our family," the 32-year-old said in a statement to E! network.
Although she is said to be in the very early stages of her pregnancy, she told Us Weekly "I feel confident."
The couple, who appeared to be having relationship problems on Sunday's premiere episode of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” admitted they were surprised by the news.
Disick, 28, told the gossip magazine, "It wasn't like we weren't trying...We kind of just said, If it's meant to be, it'll be."
The news comes a day after “James Bond” actor Daniel Craig spoke candidly in an interview with GQ Magazine, calling the Kardashians "f****** idiots" for profiting from their private lives.
Kourtney's sister Kim received heavy criticism in October after filing for divorce from estranged husband Kris Humphries after just 72 days.
Despite the widespread media backlash threatening the approximately $500 million Kardashian brand, reports said Sunday night's ratings increased from last season.
"Preliminary ratings show that the series topped all previous openers, attracting just shy of 3.2 million total viewers," The Hollywood Reporter wrote.
Kourtney is said to be nine weeks pregnant, and it is unclear whether the couple plan to get engaged anytime soon.
The couple have a 1-year-old son Mason, who also appears on their reality shows.
