Kourtney Kardashian Paternity Case: Reality Star Dragged to Court Before Christmas?

Kourtney Kardashian will reportedly be hauled to court on Dec. 16 by Michael Girgenti, a man claiming he is the biological father of her 4-year-old son Mason Disick.

In August the Los Angeles based model, who worked with Kardashian on a 944 magazine photo shoot in August 2008, was left red-faced after failing a lie detector test on "The Trisha Goddard Show." Girgenti, 27, insisted he had a sexual encounter with the reality TV star however the lie detector results suggested otherwise.

Kardashian, 34, has vehemently denied Girgenti's claims and insists that Mason is indeed fathered by her long-time partner, Scott Disick, 30.

The Chicago native filed a paternity lawsuit in L.A. County Superior Court earlier this year and the mother-of-two could be forced to undergo a paternity test.

"I just want the truth to come out," Girgenti told InTouch magazine which revealed the upcoming court date. "At this point, I have nothing to say to her... but if I am the father, I need to be slowly integrated into Mason's life before more time passes. If I'm not, I can rest at ease — and everyone can move on."

Girgenti claims he was intimate with Kardashian nine months ahead of Mason's birth and previously insisted that the youngster closely resembles him not Disick.

"After he was born and I saw photos of him [and] I began to wonder. I would definitely want to acknowledge Mason if he's my kid," Girgenti told Star magazine. "He deserves to know his real father."

Attorneys for Kardashian, who shares two children with Disick, previously described Girgenti's allegations as "false and defamatory."

"They did not exchange contact information. Since the August 20, 2008, on-set photo shoot, Kourtney never spoke with him, saw him nor met him again," Kardashian's attorney said previously.

Girgenti claimed that he only went public with his paternity claims because he has not been able to reach Kardashian privately.

"I tried to contact Kourtney via BlackBerry Messenger, with no response," he revealed. "I also made an attempt to reach her through the media, with no luck, but kept thinking that eventually the truth would come out."
