Kourtney Kardashian Paternity Scandal: Model Files for Joint Custody of Scott Disick's Son
A man claiming to be the father of Kourtney Kardashian's son, Mason, has reportedly requested joint custody of the child and a DNA test to support his claims.
Michael Girgenti, who worked with the 32-year-old reality TV star on a 944 magazine photo shoot in 2008, reportedly filed a paternity lawsuit in L.A. County Superior Court, asking for joint custody of Mason. The model, 26, claims he was intimate with Kardashian nine months ahead of Mason's birth and has dismissed her boyfriend Scott Disick as being boy's biological father, according to TMZ.com.
"I'm tired of not knowing if Mason is my child, and I want the constant wondering to end," Gergenti previously told Star magazine.

"My attentions [sic] are not to hurt the family you've created with Scott (Disick). But at the same time, Mason deserves to know the truth," he explained.
Kardashian, who also shares a one-year-old daughter Penelope with Disick, has denied Gergenti's claims and her attorney Shawn Holley reportedly described the allegations as "false and defamatory."
"They did not exchange contact information. Since the August 20, 2008, on-set photo shoot, Kourtney never spoke with him, saw him nor met him again," Kardashian's attorney told InTouch magazine.
"Kourtney has never been alone with him, and Kourtney certainly has never physically/intimately been with Mr. Girgenti," the attorney went on describing Girgenti's claims as a "preposterous and an outrageous lie."
Girgenti believes three-year-old Mason resembles him and that there is a strong possibility that he is the toddler's biological father.
"After he was born and I saw photos of him [and] I began to wonder," Girgenti revealed.
"I would definitely want to acknowledge Mason if he's my kid," he said. "He deserves to know his real father."
Gergenti says he went public with his paternity claims simply because he has not been able to reach Kardashian. She maintains that her long-term boyfriend Scott Disick is Mason's biological father.
"I tried to contact Kourtney via BlackBerry Messenger, with no response," he revealed. "I also made an attempt to reach her through the media, with no luck, but kept thinking that eventually the truth would come out."
