Kris Humphries the Most Hated NBA Player? Carmelo 'Likes it'
Kris Humphries has been portrayed as a villain on his former wife’s reality television show, and now some are convinced he is the most hated player in the NBA after his performance Wednesday night.
Humphries, who recently signed a one-year $8 million extension with the New Jersey Nets, was met with boos by the thousands of Knicks fans in Madison Square Garden when his team lost 88-82 on Wednesday.
The crowd would boo whenever Humphries would get his hands on the ball, and would chant for his return whenever the forward was sidelined.

Derron Williams, Nets’ PG, spoke about witnessing his teammate taking the brunt of fans’ emotions.
“He had some great cheers and some great boos. There were some mixed emotions going on out there,” Williams said. “They booed him when he first got on the court and they were cheering for him to get back in ... probably so they could boo him again.”
Kelly Tripucka, MSG commentator, gave an explanation for why Humphries was received with such animosity.
“Everybody feels that they had the wool pulled over their eyes and I think that’s why he’s now become the most hated man in the NBA,” Tripucka said.
In an ESPN report, Humphries did not know how to take the public backlash.
“I don’t know,” Humphries said. “I felt like Rudy out there.”
The basketball playing reality star could be seen smiling on the bench when the crowd reacted to him. However, he insisted that he was keeping his mind in the game.
“No, I was so focused on the game, I couldn’t hear that, bro,” said Humphries in an ESPN report.
However Knicks’ forward Carmelo Anthony said he felt good about the fans’ reaction to Humphries on Wednesday night.
“New York fans [are] New York fans. I like it, to be honest with you,” Anthony said in an ESPN report. “That’s how it should be. Our fans shouldn’t be cheering for [anybody] else and that’s how it should be.”
