Kris Humphries to Subpoena Kanye West, Reggie Bush in Kim Kardashian Divorce?
Kris Humphries is expected to serve Kanye West with a subpoena to testify during the NBA star's upcoming divorce proceedings from Kim Kardashian, and Reggie Bush could also be served, it has been revealed.
On Tuesday, Kardashian, 31, served Humphries' ex-girlfriend Myla Sinanaj with a subpoena so that her attorney Laura Wasser could question her about her alleged relationship with the New Jersey Nets star. The move prompted his attorneys to do the same, according to Radar Online.
"[Kris'] lawyer, Lee Hutton, has no choice but to depose Kim's new boyfriend, Kanye West. Kim has publicly said that she and Kanye have been friends for years, and Kris' lawyers want to know if the two were ever intimate before they went public with their relationship a few months ago," a source told Radar.
"Kris has no reason to believe that Kim was unfaithful to him during their very short marriage. Of particular interest to Team Humphries is Kanye's involvement in the Kardashian reality shows as he appeared on an episode of Kourtney & Kim Take New York. Kris lawyers will delve into Kanye's appearance on the show, and what his involvement in the shows are going forward. Kris believes that Kim felt tremendous pressure to get married to him on camera, and this goes to the heart of his claim that the marriage is fraudulent," the source added.
Humphries claims that Kardashian, who abruptly filed for divorce after just 72 days of marriage, married him for publicity and financial gain and his lawyers are now reportedly "gathering information" to potentially serve the reality star's ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush.
"There were reports late last year that Kim was considering getting back together with Reggie, and his lawyers would like to know what she said to him about the divorce, and her decision to file for divorce," the source said.
Humphries, 28, is insisting on an annulment of their marriage based on fraud as opposed to a divorce, but Kardashian maintains that she married him out of love and therefore, the two will battle it out in court at the end of June.
"Kris isn't intimidated or threatened by Kim and her lawyers. He isn't thrilled that Myla will be deposed, but he has nothing to hide. If Kim wants to go down this road, he has no choice but to do the same thing. Again, this ISN'T about money, it's about getting the truth out, it's all Kris has wanted since he filed his divorce response," the insider explained.
