Kris Jenner Claims 9/11 Interview Backlash is 'NBC's Fault, Not Hers'
Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner is reportedly outraged over the backlash that she has received following her controversial appearance on NBC's "Today" show on Sept. 11 and she allegedly feels as though the criticism that she is receiving is unfair.
NBC chose to air Jenner's interview at 8:46 a.m. instead of observing a moment of silence for victims of 9/11. The network is now receiving threats of a boycott from outraged viewers who believe that the decision was disrespectful. Jenner, 56, is also being blasted for her role in the debacle, with viewers criticizing her as being publicity-hungry.
"Kris is a big supporter of the troops and she's very upset about this," a source with knowledge of the situation reportedly told RadarOnline.com.

"She had absolutely nothing to do with the decision to skip the national moment of silence on 9/11 and suddenly she's in the middle of it and it's her face being shown on TV while it's being discussed. She isn't saying so publicly but she is furious. She's angry the show put her in this position," the source went on.
In the past, the struggling network has often observed a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. to mark the moment that the first plane hit the World Trade Center building on September 11, 2001 in New York City. Tuesday, however, viewers were stunned to see an interview with Jenner in which the grandmother discussed her recent breast implant surgery and the new season of her main E! reality TV show.
"[Kris] had no idea that she was speaking during the moment of silence," the source explained. "She has always been such a strong supporter of the troops and now she's caught in this mess and it's NBC's fault, not hers."
The NBC network stood by its decision to air Jenner's interview instead of observing the moment of silence despite receiving widespread criticism.
"The TODAY show dedicated a considerable amount of time to September 11 coverage this morning throughout the entire show," an NBC spokesperson said in a public statement.
