Kris Jenner Name Change: Matriarch Reverting Back to Kardashian Following Bruce Separation?
Kris Jenner is reportedly considering changing her last name back to Kardashian following her separation from her estranged husband Bruce.
Prior to Bruce, 63, the Kardashian matriarch, 57, was married to the late Robert Kardashian who sources claim was the love of her life. Jenner reportedly believes that a name change will be beneficial for branding purposes, particularly because her family's entire empire was built on the Kardashian last name.
"Kris has seriously been thinking about changing her last name back to Kardashian," an insider told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
"Kris always considered [her ex-husband] Robert Kardashian to be the love of her life, and their family empire is built on the Kardashian name," the source continued. "It would be so much simpler if Kris just changed her name back."
During a 2011 episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" viewers watched Jenner ponder the idea of changing her name back to Kardashian and Bruce was not impressed. The mother of six ultimately decided against the idea to please Bruce however now that the pair is separated, a name change is likely.
"[Bruce] could not care less at this point if Kris changes her last name back to Kardashian," the source revealed.
"The only time the two talk on the phone is about [their teenage daughters] Kendall and Kylie," the source said. "Bruce is completely off the reservation, finally living his life the way he wants to."
The Jenners, who have been married 22 years, announced their separation on Tuesday via a public statement. The estranged couple revealed that their family is their number one priority.
"We are living separately and we are much happier this way but we will always have much love and respect for each other," the couple told E! News.
"Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our No. 1 priority," they added.
