Kris Jenner Reveals Why She May Not Help Plan Kim Kardashian's Wedding
Kris Jenner may not be involved in her daughter Kim Kardashian's upcoming wedding planning.
Kardashian, the 33-year-old "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star, accepted rap mogul Kanye West's lavish marriage proposal on her birthday last October. While Kardashian's mother and manager Jenner has expressed her approval for her daughter's upcoming nuptials, she also desires to be involved in the wedding planning.
However, Jenner recently admitted that she is not sure if the couple will allow her to do so.
"I don't know if they'll let me jump in," Jenner told PEOPLE recently. "That's two very creative minds getting together and they definitely have their own ideas."
Although Kardashian has been married twice before, West's first marriage will be to the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star. She spoke about letting the fashion forward rapper take the reins with all of the planning.
"As far as wedding stuff, we haven't even talked about anything-it's been such a whirlwind. We need like a moment to relax and figure it all out," Kardashian previously told E!. "I'm going to leave this up to him. Whatever he wants."
West designed his fiancee's engagement ring himself after a grand proposal on her birthday.
"Kanye was involved in every single way. He had a vision from the beginning. He looked at a lot of stones and he wanted only the best," a rep for Lorraine Schwartz told E! News. "He and Lorraine emailed back and forth, and stayed up nights discussing how he wanted it to be. He wanted the diamond to look like it was floating on air. Everything was his idea from beginning to end."
West and Kardashian welcomed their daughter North West into the world last June and while the former has been accused of being an opportunist by some in the past, the rapper insists their relationship is deeper than that.
"She gave me everything. She gave me a support system," West told BBC Radio 1 previously. "She's in a powerful enough situation that she could love me without asking for money, which is really hard for me to find."
