Kristen Stewart Dropped From 'Snow White And The Huntsman' Sequel
Universal studios will no longer create a "Snow White and the Huntsman" sequel with Kristen Stewart, as new reports suggest that the motion picture studio is now focused on a re-conceived solo Huntsman follow up movie starring the actress' co-star Chris Hemsworth.
Stewart, who was cast as the main character Snow White in the film, will not be included in Hemsworth's solo film due to a recent affair scandal involving director Rupert Sanders.
Sanders, who directed "Snow White and the Huntsman," has not confirmed whether he will direct a follow-up sequel and Universal remains tight-lipped.
"The studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise," a Universal spokeswoman told The Hollywood Reporter.
Liberty Ross, the wife of Sanders, 41, was understandably shaken after her husband's recent public admission to cheating with 22-year-old Stewart. She has now reportedly banned him from having any involvement in a Hunstman sequel in a bid to try and save their marriage.
"Liberty let it be known in no uncertain terms that Rupert can't direct the sequel to 'Snow White and the Huntsman,'" a source told RadarOnline.com.
"They are trying to work things out after he was caught having an affair, and that is one of the sticking points. She just doesn't want him to ever work with Kristen again," the insider went on. "Rupert is obviously disappointed because 'Snow White and the Huntsman' was his directorial debut, and he had hoped on building on that with a follow-up after some decent reviews."
Stewart remains in hiding following her own public admission to cheating on her boyfriend of three years Robert Pattinson, 26.
"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," Stewart said in a public statement.
