Kristen Stewart Mom, 'Robert Pattinson is Like a Son': How Jules Stewart Brought Couple Back Together

Robert Pattinson is allegedly not the only one who was devastated by the pair's split. A new report states that it is Kristen Stewart's mother who has been pulling strings to get the couple back together because she thinks of Pattinson as a "son."

News that the "Twilight" co-stars would be attempting to rekindle their romance broke last month, to the skepticism of many. Pattinson's sisters have reportedly been quick to weigh in and according to some reports consider the reunion a bad idea. But according to a new source, Stewart's mother, Jules, does not feel the same and she is actually to thank for bringing the par back together.

"Jules is the glue that's keeping Kristen and Rob together," a source close to the couple told RadarOnline. "It ripped her heart in two when she saw those pictures of Kristen in a compromising situation with Rupert – and she couldn't believe what her daughter had done."

Stewarts mother was apparently disconcerted that her daughter had cheated on Pattinson, but chalked it down to her youth and inexperience.

"As far as Jules was concerned, Kristen's relationship with Robert was a match made in heaven and she adored him like he was her own son. At first, she struggled to understand why Kristen wanted to cheat on him," the source said. "But Kristen's young and Jules knows mistakes will happen – so she supported her daughter's efforts to win Robert back."

But despite reuniting, Stewart still has some ground to win over with Pattinson, who is still having difficulty trusting her.

"The love story between Robert and Kristen is still a bit of a conundrum, it's a weird relationship" a source revealed. "Despite claims that all is rosy – he's still not completely convinced that giving their relationship another chance is the right thing to do."

"And there are moments when he continually asks her questions about the affair," the source added.
