The "Twilight" star, who is reportedly still recovering from her recent split from Robert Pattinson, appeared to be stunned while heading back to her vehicle after spotting a love note on it's bonnet.
"I (Heart symbol) Rob," the message written in thick dust read.
Stewart, 23, and Pattinson, 27, ended their four-year relationship in May after a series of alleged ongoing relationship woes. The bizarre love note came just hours after the actress was reportedly left "furious" by paparazzi photographers who reportedly hounded her over rumors surrounding Pattinson's rumored new love interest, Riley Keough.
"Kristen was not happy when she returned to LA after her long flight from Paris. When she landed, someone asked her about Rob and Riley and what she thought of them dating," a source told HollywoodLife.com.
"Needless to say, Kristen was furious, not to mention exhausted. She's supposed to start filming Camp X-Ray soon and is busy with production meetings and fittings," the source added.
On July 3 Keough, who is the granddaughter of famed rock and roll legend Elvis Presley and also a friend of Stewart's, publicly denied romance rumors surrounding her and Pattinson. A rep for the model also denied that viral photographs allegedly of Keough and Pattinson together were actually of her.
"Riley isn't dating Rob," a rep for the 24-year-old actress told Just Jared. "And I can confirm that Riley was not photographed at all this weekend."
On Saturday a source revealed why exactly Pattinson and Stewart, who first met on the 2008 set of "Twilight," ended their on-and-off relationship for good. The British actor was reportedly "haunted" by Stewart's 2012 cheating scandal which involved her married "Snow White and The Huntsman" film Director, Rupert Sanders.
"It all comes down to when she cheated on him, he couldn't let it go and would always make remarks to her saying things like, 'How do I know you are there?'...'How do I know you are telling the truth?'... 'What else have you lied about?'" a source said.
"Her cheating basically opened other doors in their relationship of what they didn't like of each other," the source continued. "There conversations where more bickering then loving, and in front of friends Kristen made jokes of the incident making it look like they were above it... She got a little cocky with it and he decided to end it after it all built up to one final argument."
