Kristen Stewart Turns to Jodie Foster After Cheating on Robert Pattinson
Actress Kristen Stewart, who has admitted to cheating on boyfriend and actor Robert Pattinson, has turned to mentor and fellow actress Jodie Foster, 49, for advice in this trying time.
"As soon as she heard the news, Jodie contacted Kristen to offer her support. They have been close friends since they starred opposite each other in the 2002 movie 'Panic Room,' and Jodie is a mother-like figure to her," a source close to Foster told Radar Online.
''Jodie told Kristen to take no notice of the media bashing and said if she wanted to cry her heart out to her she's always available. Jodie loved Rob and is disappointed with Kristen for cheating on him. However, she knows at 22, she's still very young and unfortunately people make mistakes in life. She thinks Kristen will learn from this and will only grow into a more mature person because of it," the source reportedly added.
Stewart was photographed last week canoodling and kissing Rupert Sanders, 44, who directed the movie "Snow White and the Huntsman," in which Stewart had the leading role.
Since the news of her infidelity broke, Stewart issued a statement which read: "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."
Reports indicate that since Pattinson found out about Stewart's cheating on him with Sanders, he has asked her to move out of their Los Angeles home. The couple is also allegedly fighting over who should get to keep their dog, Bear. The couple's romance grew out of their roles in the "Twilight" movie series.
