Krysten Ritter Opens Up About Being 'The B'
"Don't Trust the B in Apt 23" star Krysten Ritter has discussed the ups and downs of being an actress in a recent interview.
Ritter portrays an amoral and shameless con artist Chloe in ABC's sitcom, which debuted last April, and opened up about her unique role.
Also known as "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23," the comedy series was shortened to exclude the expletive.

Landing the role of "the B" on the series, Ritter said she is actually a very nice person in real life.
"Maybe that's why they picked me to do it," said the 30-year-old actress, according to The Denver Post. "Why am I so good at playing b-----? I think it's because I'm not a b----. Maybe that's why Joan Crawford always plays ladies."
Although her character Chloe is conniving, Ritter said she incorporates humor into the role.
"I think I bring lightness [to the role]," said the star. "I'm girly and I like to have a good time and joke around and I think that helps the character not just be evil. I think there's two different ways you can play this character. You could just be an evil, mean person or you could make it fun."
Moreover, Ritter shared a confrontation with her mother while speaking to Anderson Cooper in a recent interview. The actress recounted when her mother left her a voicemail after discovering Ritter in an issue of Playboy magazine.
"I woke up and saw a couple of missed calls from my mom- she called at 6:30 a.m.," said Ritter. "You know when your mom calls that early, something bad happened."
She went on to quote her mother: "'I don't know what to say … I don't want to have to buy that magazine,'" and described her explanation to the concerned parent. Ritter was not featured nude in the publication, but was featured in a 20-questions article.
"Don't Trust the B in Apt 23" also stars James Van Der Beek and Dreama Walker, among others. Its second season starts on ABC Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. EST.
