'Kung Fu Panda 3' spoilers: Po finds his biological father
"Kung Fu Panda 3" is the latest installment in the Kung Fu Panda franchise. It is the third film and the sequel to the widely popular "Kung Fu Panda 2."
The plot of the film reads, Po reunites with his biological father and returns to his birthplace — a secret panda paradise, where he does not fit in. There he meets Mei-Mei, an overly eager panda, who has been promised in an arranged marriage to Po. When an evil spirit called Kai terrorizes China and steals powers of defeated kung fu masters, Po must learn to train a village of clumsy, fun-loving pandas to become the band of Kung Fu Pandas.
The movie has an impressive voice cast. Actors Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, and Lucy Liu will all reprise their roles in the film. Actor Bryan Cranston will voice Li Shan, Po's biological father.

Actress Kate Hudson will voice Mei-Mei, a panda who is obsessed with Po. She replaced actress Rebel Wilson, who was supposed to voice the character but had to drop out due to the productions extension. Chinese actor Jay Chou has voiced the role of Monkey, one of the furious five in the new movie.
There will be a new villain that will be introduced in the movie. Kai will by voiced by JK Simmons. The villain is described as a supernatural being that is similar to Kratos in "God of War."
A new trailer for the film features a funny reference to the "Star Wars" franchise as Li tells Po that he is the father in a similar manner to that of Darth Vader, while Po looks on in disbelief. It can be seen as a parody of the popular movie franchise.
The arrival of Po's biological father will no doubt complicate things for Po and his adoptive father. But the father and son will team up, in order to find the secret panda paradise and they will even unite to fight a foe.
"Kung Fu Panda 3" will premiere on Jan. 29, 2016.
