Kurt Carr's "One Church" Hits Stores Today
Following up on 2001 Gold-selling smash hit, Awesome Wonder, Stellar Award-winning Gospel sensation Kurt Carr has returned with an energetic new album entitled One Church.
Carr, along with his 7-voice ensemble, takes his music ministry to new levels with the recently released project with a combination of powerful praise and stirring vocals that is both multi-cultural and international in scope.
As the title suggests, One Church spotlights Carrs trademark musical diversity, incorporating elements such as a South African choir, Scottish bagpipers, an Armenian accordionist, an Eastern Indian sitar, and a full classical orchestra.
Featuring the hit songs, God Great God, and Psalm 68 [Let Our God Arise], the album is available everywhere today.
Carr obtained a degree in music from the University of Connecticut, focusing in the classroom on classical music, while absorbing the sounds of the street and the world around him. His first national recognition came when he spent seven years as pianist and musical director for James Cleveland, who had discovered him when he was playing one year at the annual conference of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA), as well as a year accompanying Gospel's equally legendary Andrae Crouch. One Church is poised to carry Carr to even greater heights, who received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Ohio 's Aenon Bible College in 2001.
