LA Lakers News 2015: Chris Paul out of game against Rockets due to injury, Kobe Bryant insists he is a "Laker for life"

Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul missed his next game due to injury, while Lakers franchise player Kobe Bryant insists he will not be playing for any other team.

On Saturday night, the Clippers hosted the Houston Rockets and lost with a score of 109-105 to earn a 4-3 win-loss slate at the NBA's 2015-2016 regular season. They did, however, miss the services of point guard Chris Paul.

In a report by NBA.com, Paul, who has been averaging 17 points and 8.2 assists in 32.2 minutes of action per game, suffered a groin injury during the Clippers' game against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday at the Oakland Arena. Los Angeles also lost to Golden State with a score of 112-108.

According to head coach Doc Rivers, while the absence of Chris Paul did "hurt" the team, he remains confident with the pool of players he has in his disposal.

"One of the things we've done better this year in practice, we would change lineups just because we think that may happen anyway. So I would say he's had some minutes in practices with them. I don't think that can hurt. We put Paul (Pierce) in with that group as well."

Paul was able to play all 82 games last season, only to sustain a hamstring injury in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryan insisted that he would not be playing for another team. In another report by NBA.com, "The Black Mamba" shut down all questions regarding the possibility of him switching teams.

"I've said it so many times. I'm here. I'm a Laker for life. I'm not playing anywhere else, no matter what. It's just not gonna happen. I bleed purple and gold, and that's just how it's gonna be."

The Los Angeles Lakers will be playing against the Miami Heat on Wednesday, November 11th, at the American Airlines Arena.
