LA Lakers Rumors: Kobe Bryant Ready to Return; Jim Buss Talks D'Angelo Russell

Following three seasons that saw injury after injury, Kobe Bryant is rumored to be back, and his return has reportedly given hope and positivity to his team.

Los Angeles Lakers fans very well know that Bryant's presence immediately gives optimism to his team when they are in for an apparent loss, and without him in the court, it seems the Lakers are still having a hard time running around.

According to Sports World Report, head coach Byron Scott said Bryant is strong and healthy enough to play for the regular season as his lower leg bruise obtained in the pre-season has been healed.

Rumors suggest that the 37-year-old NBA star is looking great and doesn't show signs of having been through an injury as he showed his impeccable moves during practice. He is reportedly back to shooting, and Scott is looking forward to his contributions to the team in the coming games.

Meanwhile, LA Lakers part-owner Jim Buss is apparently positive as well, but for other reasons aside from Bryant's return. Buss said in an interview with USA Today earlier this month that he is excited about the team's future, highlighting D'Angelo Russell's talented play, despite being a rookie.

The outlet noted that Russell "may become his [Buss] new personal favorite," referring to the executive's words of praise for the new player. Buss said Russell is someone special since scouts and other players are fond of how he seriously puts time and efforts during his workouts.

"If you watched [Russell] worked out, if you heard what our scouts said about him and what they said about Okafor and other players, it got to the point where we could not pass on him. He's that special in a lot of people's books," he said.

Other rumors suggest that Nick Young may not be part of the grand future that the Lakers may be looking at since Louis Williams has seemingly replaced him as the favorite for the sixth man task.

The Los Angeles Lakers will be playing against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, California.
