Lady Antebellum and Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks to Collaborate for CMT Series 'Crossroads' (VIDEO)
Lady Antebellum and Stevie Nicks will collaborate for the CMT series, Crossroads, according to reports.
Country and classic rock fans will be delighted by the announcement about the collaboration, which will air with the new CMT Crossroads episode in September.
Lady Antebellum has experienced great success in their short career; winning "Vocal Group of the Year" three times in a row, as well as the all-genre-encompassing awards, "Record of the Year," and "Song of the Year." They have accumulated a total of seven Grammys, and also had seven No. 1 hits on the music charts, five platinum singles, and sold more than 11 million albums throughout the world.
Their fans will be excited by the announcement of a collaboration with Nicks, who was the front woman for the hugely popular Fleetwood Mac. Nicks is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and has won multiple Grammy awards; five with Fleetwood Mac and eight as a solo artist.
Nicks is known as one of the best songwriters in the industry, and penned many of Fleetwood Mac's most famous songs, including "Landslide," "Dreams," and "Rhiannon," as well as her own hit, "Edge of Seventeen."
Nicks has complimented Lady Antebellum, saying that she listened repeatedly to the country group's albums for three months.
She highlighted the group's new song, "Golden," admitting that she was in tears just 30 seconds into it as it had such a profound resonance with her.
Nicks said, "I'm proud to share it [song "Edge of Seventeen"] with Lady Antebellum, because they're good enough to do it."
Lady Antebellum and Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac) will be touring this Fall, with Lady Antebellum ready to take on the U.S., where as Fleetwood Mac will tackle Europe and Australia following their recently sold-out American tour.
Crossroads was filmed in January, and will premiere on Friday Sept. 17, at 10 p.m.
