Lady Gaga Nude in 'Fame' Fragrance Ad: 'I'm A Bit Nervous,' Says Star

Lady Gaga appeared nude in an advertisement for her perfume, Fame. The fragrance campaign is bizarre and risqué enough to have the eccentric singer "nervous" for its reception.

Lady Gaga's nude body was photographed by none other than Steven Klein, who has also worked with fellow self-reinventing singer Madonna. In the ad, Gaga is shown wearing nothing but a black masquerade mask. Miniature men are shown crawling over her, strategically placed to cover her private parts. It's unconventional enough to make even Gaga herself squeamish.

"I won't lie I'm a bit nervous," the superstar tweeted to her 27 million followers. "Its been a while since I've shared some work with you. But I'm so proud of Steven+I, we really did not sleep!"

The perfume, Gaga claims, is one-of-a-kind, in that it is the only black fragrance. It turns clear once sprayed, and contains belladonna, incense, saffron, honey, apricot nectar, crushed tiger orchid, and jasmine sambac, according to WWD. Still, the singer said it contained some rather unseemly ingredients as well.

"[Blood and semen] is in the perfume, but it doesn't smell like it," Gaga said on "The Kyle and Jackie O Show" before the fragrance was released. "You just get sort of the after feeling of sex from the semen and the blood is sort of primal. And the blood was taken from my own blood sample, so it's like a sense of having me on your skin."

The horrific implications of that reality aside, there's no blood or semen in the fragrance, though Gaga did say it would have users smelling "like an expensive hooker."

The 26-year-old singer's ad is sure to generate controversy, as the shock-and-awe tactics have proved to be Gaga's mainstay as an entertainer. "The First Ever Black Eau de Parfum" will have a television commercial and a 3-minute film before it is released in September.
