Lamar Odom Apologetic On 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians'
Lamar Odom is trying to make things right with Khloe Kardashian after his father made scathing comments against her family on the two part ninth season premiere of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."
Odom, the 33-year-old NBA free agent, has made headlines in recent months for allegedly stepping out on his marriage and battling with a drug addiction. Although Kardashian, 29, has officially filed for divorce, fans are witnessing the downward spiral of their marriage on her reality television show.
In the second part of the season premiere of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," Khloe is upset after Lamar's father Joe Odom spoke negatively about her family. However, fans witness Lamar calling his estranged wife multiple times to apologize.
"Lamar called and was crying. He kept apologizing about today. He was sobbing on the phone," Khloe tells her sisters Kim and Kourtney on the show. "He was making me cry. He was like 'I'll kill someone for them.' He says he loves us and he does but there's nothing we can do."
When Kim tries to cheer up her sister by asking if she wants to go out a somber Khloe responds, "I just want to go to the gym put some headphones on and zone the (expletive) out."
Although the entire Kardashian and Jenner family seems to support Khloe, they also seem to be concerned.
"Khloe and Lamar need to just get out of this funk that they're in whether they end up together or not," Kim says on the show.
It seems Khloe's mother Kris Jenner is just as concerned with her daughter's ailing relationship and speaks to her daughter Kim about it on the show.
"Everyday I wake up and I don't know what we're gonna be dealt," Kris says. "I don't know what's going to happen and it scares the (expletive) out of me."
After Lamar's father made hurtful comments about Khloe's family, the basketball player took to his twitter to defend them.
"They are the ONLY ones that have been here consistently 4 me during this dark time. Only person 2 blame is myself," Odom tweeted about the Kardashians late last year. "Say what you want about me but leave the ones who have done nothing but protect and love me out of this! This goes to out to everyone!"
Odom's father seemed to regret his initial statements which the family reacted to on Monday night's episode. He previously explained his thought process when saying them.
"I apologize for the things I had said previously because I was frustrated about what they said on the Wendy Williams show. The family is a wonderful family, but every time I turn around, I'm being called a heroin addict," he told TMZ late last year. "I've been clean thirty years. I'm in a program. I'm in a program out here. And this program that I'm in, they have helped me to the utmost to stay straight, to stay drug free."
