As former NBA champion Lamar Odom fights for his life in a Nevada hospital, he is receiving an outpouring of support from celebrities, and other high-profile individuals, who are choosing to pray for him instead of focus on the reason for his critical condition.

Odom, 35, was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel Tuesday where E! News reported that sources claimed Sunrise Hospital officials were treating the situation as an overdose since "drugs were found in his system."

Jesse Jackson visited Odom's bedside Wednesday and spoke to CNN about how people should keep their focus away from what led him to his unconscious state and more on praying that he pulls through.

"He is very sick, he needs lots of help and whatever led him to that point, God has a way of getting our attention," Jackson told CNN. "It seems all that matters now is the fight for his life, and I pray that God spare him and let God's will be done."

Jackson led prayer while Odom's estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, and her family rallied around the athlete and his loved ones.

"Visited with @RealLamarOdom & @Khloe today. We had prayer," Jackson revealed in a tweet Wednesday. "Please continue your prayers for him and for his family."

Jackson is not the only high profile person interceding for Odom. Dwyane Wade, Odom's Miami Heat teammate during the 2003-2004 season, said he was on his knees praying for the situation.

"I can't help but to be up right now. ... THINKING about my ex teammate/friend LO. On my knees praying ... please God let him pull thru ... I couldn't sleep last night. Sitting and thinking about LO as the person I know him as and thinking about what he has gone thru in his life," Wade tweeted.

"Everyone will ask why or say how could he do this or that," he continued. "If you're not walking in life thru his eyes you will never know what it's like. Dear God he's one of the good ones. PLEASE watch over him and listen to his heart speak #PrayersForLamar."

While a number of celebrity supporters have been speaking about the generous heart of Odom, Laker Hall of Famer Earvin Magic Johnson took to Twitter to share more than his prayers, but to share an account of the athlete's generosity.

"I have been praying all morning for my good friend and Laker great, Lamar Odom, that God will bless him to pull through," Johnson tweeted Wednesday. "What most people don't realize about Lamar Odom is that he's a better person than he is a basketball player. Every year Lamar Odom was with the Lakers, he would buy the rookies their first 2-3 custom suits, that's what type of guy he is."

Two-time NBA champ Lebron James spoke about not only praying for Odom, but not judging the basketball player.

"So many prayers sent up to you LO! I truly hope this isn't the last stop for you because you still have so much to give, not even to others but to yourself more importantly," James wrote on Instagram. "Never know what someone is going through unless you're walking in their shoes. No judgement."
