Lamar Odom Health Condition Latest News: Moved from L.A. Hospital to Private Facility after Improvement

Lamar Odom has left the Los Angeles hospital he was staying in after his collapse at a Nevada brothel and has been moved to a private facility, the Associated Press reports, quoting a family statement.

The former NBA star was admitted to a hospital in L.A. following his drug-fueled collapse at a Nevada brothel in October. On Friday, family spokeswoman Alvina Alston said Lamar Odom was discharged from the hospital earlier after a miraculous improvement, according to CBS Sports.

Alston, however, did not reveal details on Odom's present condition. She only said the former basketball player's family is proud of his remarkable improvement, the report relays.

It can be remembered that Odom was in critical condition after his near-fatal collapse on Oct. 13. He spent the last three months at the Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles recovering and had begun demonstrating huge progress in December, when he was finally able to take several steps without assistance and recognize the medical staff caring for him, the report details.

Khloe Kardashian, Odom's estranged wife, moved him out of the L.A. hospital on Jan. 6 secretly and without notifying his family to avoid attracting unnecessary attention. As of now, the former NBA star is in a private facility set up as a rehab near Kardashian's home, Us Weekly reports.

Although Odom's exact condition is still unconfirmed, an insider told Us that the former NBA star is now able to walk without using his walker. It is a miraculous achievement, considering that the doctors first told Kardashian that he only had four hours when he was first admitted.

Lamar Odom spent Christmas inside the L.A. hospital with his kids Destiny, 17, and Lamar Odom Jr., 13. His son later on posted a photo of his father on Instagram. Another unnamed source said the kids brought him presents and they all enjoyed the special occasion.
