iOS 9 Release Date News, Security Features: Will boost security and performance across all Apple devices
The latest iOS 9 will be rolled out in about a month, but it is now making quite a buzz with its new features, including one that will allow smoother performance across all Apple devices.
One of the best features of the new iOS 9 is the ability to multitask on the iPad Air. Another new features is the improved security system that now effectively prevents hacking of iOS devices, according to Benchmark Reporter.
Although multitasking could be done with the older iOS 9 by switching between applications, the updated iOS 9 allows users to open two applications simultaneously on one screen.
Before, users had to tap the home button twice to switch to another app. Now, they can just drag and drop information from one app to the other, the report details.
The new multitasking feature improves productivity and allows users to frequently switch between two apps, especially when making presentations.
The improved security feature is also something worth being excited about. Instead of the old four-digit passcode, iOS users will now have a six-digit passcode to open the device. With the latest iOS 9, iPad Air users can use either the new six-digit passcode or Touch ID to unlock the device, the Dispatch Times reports.
Compared to the iOS 8, the new iOS 9 is more secure. Nobody can break into an iOS device without the passcode, the report relays.
The iOS 9 beta is expected to have a few glitches, but Apple vowed to iron everything out before the final version of the operating system is released.
Apple Inc. is also set to release the Mac OS EL Capitan 10.11 soon, but for now, it is still in the beta stage. Another operating system due to be released soon is the OSX update for PCs, but the tech firm has not yet announced its released date.
Apple is scheduled to unveil the next iPhone on September 9.
