Lauren Daigle, for King & Country, and Danny Gokey Dominate K-LOVE Fan Awards
Lauren Daigle, Danny Gokey and for King & Country were the big winners at last night's 2016 K-LOVE Fan Awards at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry stage.
Christian music's new star female artist Lauren Daigle received both Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year, while Danny Gokey took home Male Artist of the Year and Breakout Single. And for KING & COUNTRY were honored with Best Live Show and Group/Duo of the Year.
The K-LOVE Fan Awards, hosted by Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Matthew West, are based on fans voting for their favorite artists to be nominated and also picking the winners for each of the seven award categories. The Awards night was kicked off by the Ultimate Experience Weekend on Friday, June 3, which is an annual weekend packed with performances and activities leading up to the award show dedicated to the radio station's beloved fans.
Among some of the other artists who won Sunday night were Chris Tomlin, Francesca Battistelli and Matthew West. for King & Country and TobyMac each led with four nominations but TobyMac did not come out on top at this year's awards.
