Lauren Scruggs' Family Praises God for Fast Recovery After Propeller Accident

Lauren Scruggs' parents remain in high spirits as their daughter seems to be making a quick recovery from a devastating propeller accident the aspiring model suffered last week.

Scruggs, who worked as a stylist on the set of CW's hit TV show "Gossip Girl," walked into the propeller after de-boarding a small 2011 Aviat Husky plane on Dec 6. The 23-year old Plano, Texas native and her friend were passengers on the plane as it circled around McKinney, Texas.

Scruggs’s parents suspect their daughter turned around to thank the pilot one last time and walked into the propeller, resulting in severe damage to the left side of her body, including her shoulder, eye, head, and hand.

"The name of Jesus has been spread to millions across the world, hundreds of thousands of prayers have touched Lauren and the Scruggs family, and her healing is only beginning!" the blog statement reads.

The blog update indicates that Scruggs is recovering relatively quickly. She is eating some of her favorite foods, including sweet potatoes and hard-boiled eggs, and walking around the halls of Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas where she is staying.
