Lauryn Hill Being Sued Again by Fashion Consultant
Lauryn Hill is being sued, again.
For the second time in two months, Hill is running into legal trouble stemming from her 2007 European Tour. TMZ has reported that Hill’s former fashion consultant loaned the singer clothing for the tour which was never returned or paid for in full.
The lawsuit was filed with the Los Angeles County Superior Court, claiming the singer took “an entire wardrobe of high fashion items,” that she was only supposed to keep for three months.
Via Davia Vintage lent the clothes to Hill, who TMZ reported agreed to pay off the items over a four week time period. However, only about 30 percent of the items were returned with the most expensive pieces still missing.
This is the second time legal action has been taken against Hill, who had another lawsuit filed against her from a guitar player. Jay Gore, a professional guitarist who played with Hill back in 2007, said he was owed outstanding money.
Gore said he was supposed to make $3,590 for working with Hill. Despite the negative headlines, Lauryn Hill fans have been supporting the artist on Twitter.
"The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill! #NowBlasting," singer Teairra Mari wrote, speaking about Hill’s last studio album that made its debut in 1998.
Despite the lapse of time since her last release, another fan spoke about Hill’s album.
"The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill will never get old to me," the fan wrote on Twitter.
Others seemed not to be concerned with recent accusations about Hill’s character and showed support for the artist.
"Lauryn Hill is a great artist," one person tweeted.
"Lauryn Hill needs to come back," another said.
Although Lauryn Hill was recently seen touring at the “Rock the Bells” show there has been no official date of an upcoming album release or an official return to music.
