LeAnn Rimes Talks Suicide and Eddie Cibrian Cheating Fears (VIDEO)
Whether Cibrian Would Cheat or Not 'Creeped Into My Mind,' Says Rimes
LeAnn Rimes recently opened up about her controversial marriage to Eddie Cibrian after years of backlash. The troubled singer is rumored to be close to a breakdown due to ongoing emotional struggles.
In her latest candid sit down with Entertainment Tonight's Nancy O'Dell, Rimes admitted that although she would never take her own life, suicide crossed her mind at least once while she battled with depression. The 30-year-old, who checked into rehab in August, also admitted that she has feared Cibrian would cheat on her, according to Daily Mail.
"Of course, I think anybody could," Rimes said when asked about whether she contemplated suicide. "I think any smart person would know that it is always a possibility that you could always get that sad and deep. I worried that was a possibility [but] I know I would never."
Rimes began a relationship with Cibrian, 40, in 2009 while they were still married to other people. Although they both eventually left their spouses and married one another, she has received a torrent of ongoing abuse ever since which reportedly triggered her breakdown.
Cibrian's former wife Brandi Glanville, who stars in the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," has been engaged in a years-long feud with Rimes since news of the affair scandal broke. Glanville, along with other critics, has openly criticized the strength of Rimes' marriage to Cibrian and the country singer admitted that she has worried about him cheating.
"I would be ignorant to say, and everyone else would think I am a liar if I didn't say yes, and I have at times," Rimes said before admitting that he too has the same concerns about her.
"Speaking for him, I would actually say that's creeped into his [mind]," she continued. "I think we've been very honest and open with that to each other and our conversations about it have only made me understand how much he actually cares, as much as I do, about being faithful to each other."
2012 was a tough year for Rimes and in light of her recent "X Factor" blunder, a new report claims that friends close to her are now urging her to seek treatment again before it's too late.
"Everyone around LeAnn can see how much she struggles. She has body issues and worries Eddie [Cibrian] will cheat," a source reportedly told Life & Style. "Friends and family are constantly worried she's going to fall apart again if she doesn't get help."
