LeBron James, Savannah Brinson Deny Split: 'Definitely Getting Married'
Savannah Brinson recently denied reports that she and NBA star LeBron James have split, insisting that they are still preparing to tie the knot.
The 26-year-old mother of two, who got engaged to LeBron in 2011, has been uncharacteristically absent from significant engagements in recent weeks. LeBron, 28, recently attended NBA All-Star weekend without Brinson, and he also attended his team the Miami Heat's congratulatory visit to the White House in January without her, which fueled speculation.
"Some people have nothing better to do than starting rumors," Brinson allegedly told GossipExtra at a recent Miami society gala.
"It's not because we're not together 24/7 that we're having problems," she said before confirming "Yes, we are definitely getting married, but I'm not telling you when or where!"
Brinson was attending the fancy Women of Tomorrow gala in Miami on Saturday where she opened up about her relationship with LeBron, who is her high school sweetheart.
The Heat forward proposed to Brinson with a pear-shaped diamond ring on his 27th birthday at Shelborne South Beach.
Brinson had allegedly began searching for a wedding gown at Ever After Miami, which is a bridal store in Coconut Grove that carries a fancy bridal line. However, she abruptly stopped her search in recent months without any explanation.
"Ms. Brinson visited a bridal market in New York," a manager at Ever After said "Any other information about Ms. Brinson would be confidential."
Several news outlets were reportedly angling for exclusive access to Brinson and LeBron's ceremony, but talks allegedly broke down abruptly and without reason during the summer.
"No one in James' tight-knit camp's talking, including one of LeBron's lawyers," Gossip Extra's Joe Lambiet previously reported.
The couple, who shares two sons LeBron Jr., 8, and Bryce, 5, has reportedly been together for well over a decade.
