Though it is still uncertain if King James will really participate in the Rio Olympics, considering that he just played a 7-game NBA championship series, Sole Collector indicates that the the Cleveland Cavaliers star could use the "USA" colorway of the LeBron Soldier 10 for the Rio Games. It will be a perfect fit for Team USA since the kicks comes in a blue, white and red color.
Soldier 10 debuted during the recently concluded NBA Finals as it was the sneakers that James wore during the games. Kicks On Fire highlighted that the USA colorway features a blue upper mesh with red straps. It is also accented with a white swoosh, upper strap and outsole.
Fourth of July Release
The shoe will, however, not be released until July 4 to coincide with the celebration of the US Independence Day. The USA colorway will surely be a great tribute to the freedom enjoyed by Americans.
It will also be available in two size variants, Grade School and Men's, to provide shoes that fit men who have small feet. In addition, the look of the Soldier 10 resembles that of the Nike Zoom LeBron, which was also debuted when James played in his first NBA Playoffs in 2005.
Soldier 10 iD colorway
After launching the Soldier 10 iD colorway during the NBA Finals, Nike announced that the shoe will be available starting Tuesday. However, the company has not yet indicated pricing for the new iteration.
It will be released in the colors worn by the Cavs superstar during the Finals including black and white versions. Options like black straps, personalized lettering and a metallic swoosh can also be added on the shoe.
Will James Play for Team USA?
Though there is still no final word from James himself, he could skip the Olympics just like Warriors star Steph Curry. Commentators for GameTime on NBA.com recently mentioned that LeBron could be really tired after the Finals series and mey choose to rest instead of joining the Olympics.
USA Basketball Chairman Jerry Colangelo planned for separate gameplays for Team USA if James opts to participate or decides to skip the tournament.
