Left 4 Dead 3 Release Date: Precise Date Still Unknown, But Game 'Looks Great,' Says Developer

The third title to the zombie first-person shooter, "Left 4 Dead 3," still has no official release date. It is also difficult to speculate when the actual release date will be since there are no official details on the game yet.

In previous reports, Counter-Strike co-creator Minh Le assured about the title's development and told fans that the game's progress is moving along well. Le no longer works with company Valve but said in an interview that she has seen the game.

"It wouldn't be any news if I said yes, I saw it. It looks great," Le told goRGNtv.

At the beginning of the year, there were leaked screenshots of the game which had been rendered using Valve's new game engine, Source 2.0. The screenshots were speculated to have come from a slide show for a confidential meeting and shows the Plantation level from Left 4 Dead 2.

The first game, "Left 4 Dead," was released by Turtle Rock Studios back in 2008 with a sequel "Left 4 Dead 2" released a year after.

The game studio has since split from Valve after the release of the first game and is currently developing the game "Evolve" for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and the PC.

Left 4 Dead is a post-apocalyptic zombie first-person shooter game where players can choose to play as one of four characters. The main objective is to fight your way through hordes of zombies to a safe house in each level. The game is finished once survivors have reached the final level and manage to escape.

The game also supports online and local – cooperative or competitive – multiplayer, where players can play as either the survivors or the special zombies.
