Left Behind Games Launches New Online Store
Left Behind Games Inc., a company first founded for the purpose of developing games based upon the controversial "Left Behind" book series, has recently opened up a new online store that will sell Christian video games, board games, card games, and comic books.
LB Games Online Store has more than 100 inspirational items in stock now, including such items as the highly debated Left Behind: Eternal Forces PC game, BibleMan products, and Veggie Tales games.
"This new online store represents our commitment to become the leader in the family and Christian entertainment industry," said Troy Lyndon, chief executive officer for Left Behind Games, in a statement.
The company has gained much of its notoriety following the release of its controversial game, Left Behind: Eternal Forces, in 2006. In the real-time strategy game, players are placed in a post-rapture world where most Christians have already been transported to heaven. The people that have been left behind on earth must choose whether or not to join or combat the Antichrist.
While some applauded the game, other Christian and non-Christian groups alike criticized the content. Some Christians argued that it contained too much violence while liberal groups complained that it glorified religious violence against non-Christians.
The new website boasts easy accessibility and purchasing, including international shipping.
According to Left Behind Games Inc., their mission is to become the world's leading independent developer and publisher of quality interactive entertainment products that perpetuate positive values and appeal to mainstream, inspirational and gamer audiences.
