'Legends Of Tomorrow' Season 1 Spoilers: New Trailer Reveals 'Dealbreaker;' White Canary To Have Female Love Interest
The CW's hotly anticipated series "Legends of Tomorrow," a spin-off from hit shows and DC Comics adaptations "Arrow" and "The Flash," will be airing its series premiere in a few weeks. DC's new TV series will feature characters from both "Arrow" and "The Flash," along with a bunch of heroes from the DC Comics.
Last week, The CW released another teaser for the forthcoming series and it shows White Canary (Caity Lotz) defying Rip Hunter's (Arthur Darvill) order and Professor Martin Stein aka Firestorm (Victor Garber) pointing out one interesting caveat of being a "legend."
The new trailer, dubbed "One Chance," shows the eight outcasts transforming into DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Apart from Firestorm and Sarah Lance/White Canary, the band of heroes includes Ray Palmer/The Atom (Brandon Routh), Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Wentworth Miler), Mick Rory/Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée), Carter Hall/Hawkman (Falk Henschel), Jefferson Jackson/Firestorm (Franz Drameh), and Rip Hunter, who brings them all together to defeat the immortal villain Hath-Set/Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).
In the promo clip, Rip Hunter is shown reprimanding White Canary, saying, "I specifically said no weapons." But after she single-handedly takes down the bad guys, he is left in awe. "Exactly how many knives do you have?", he asks.
Meanwhile, Professor Stein/Firestorm asks, "Doesn't a legend have to be dead?" "That's a dealbreaker for me," answers Jefferson Jackson, who is the other half of the DC Comics character Firestorm.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Ali Liebert (of "Fringe" and "Kyle XY") is set to play the role of Lindsay Carlisle, the lady love interest of Sarah Lance/White Canary.
As executive producer Phil Klemmer told EW, "When Sara first meets Lindsay Carlisle, she finds herself in the position of caring about someone for the first time in forever — an idea she's not entirely sure she's ready for." Klezmer added, "It's easy for our cold hearted assassin to kill a hundred people, but does she have the ability to care about one?"
DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" airs its premiere episode on Thursday, Jan. 21, on The CW.
