'Legends of Tomorrow' Season 2 Spoilers: Captain Cold Returns With a New Alliance, Legends Battle Evil Versions of Themselves
The Legion of Doom will find a way to further mess with the Waverider crew in the "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 finale. That is bringing back Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) to the fold.
The "Prison Break" actor was seen on the set for the filming of the season ender titled "Aruba." Matt Letscher, who plays the role of the Reverse-Flash in the series, detailed more about Leonard Snart's comeback in an interview with CBR.
"He's going to be here shortly, in the next few episodes. He is going to be a full-fledged member of the Legion of Doom and be very valuable to them on multiple fronts," he said, after playing a bit coy on what Captain Cold will be up to in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2.
"Eobard has done his homework in this regard, and he's recruited somebody who's fully on board with the Legion of Doom's mission and he also understands the complications that Captain Cold's relationship with the Legends ... the psychological complications that inform Eobard and his plans," he went on to say.
It looks like the Legion of Doom will use the same approach they used to have Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) work for them in bringing Captain Cold to the team.
It will be heartbreaking for fans to see Snart working against the Legends especially with the fact that he died in the first place because he wanted to save them.
The "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 finale will be the second episode for this season that Miller returns. The first one was "Chicago Way," in which Rory (Dominic Purcell) started seeing him because he missed his partner.
"Aruba" won't air until the finale so for now, fans can look forward to episode 13, "Land of the Lost," which sees the team seven million years into the past after Rip crashes it there. This will also see the group make an attempt to get "good" Rip, but ends up in an epic battle with their evil versions.
"Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 returns Tuesday, March 7, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
