'Legends of Tomorrow' Season 3 Spoilers: Zari Brings a New Dimension to the Team in Episode 3

A new heroine will be introduced in the upcoming episode of "Legends of Tomorrow" season 3.

Titled "Zari," next week's episode will see the Legends meet their newest member. After receiving a distress call from an agent at the Time Bureau, Sara (Caity Lotz) finds out that they have been ordered to run after a rogue time traveler in the future.

Things take a turn for the worse when the Legends decide to harbor Zari (Tala Ashe), an outlaw, in hopes of luring in the time-traveling assassin. Elsewhere, Stein (Victor Garber) attempts to get to the bottom of Amaya's (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) condition. Nate (Nick Zano) offers Amaya a strange treatment, but she eventually agrees with his suggestion.

The promo gives viewers a bit more insight into what Zari is up to. The team immediately goes to rescue her, but they realize their damsel in distress has quite a long rap sheet. It turns out she has been charged with several crimes including larceny, identity theft, and burglary. While her history seems troubling for some of the heroes, Mick (Dominic Purcell) finds it impressive, particularly after Zari shows off her getaway skills.

Earlier this month, executive producer Marc Guggenheim told Entertainment Weekly that Zari will join the team because she believes they can help her bring her beloved brother back to life.

"When we meet Zari, her brother will have been killed and the rest of her family is presumed missing," the EP explained. "However, when she joins the Legends, she is surprised to learn that their rules prevent her from using time travel to save her brother. A computer hacker by training, Zari then sets out to see if she can find a loophole to these rules and, essentially, hack time."

The third season of "Legends of Tomorrow" airs every Tuesday night at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
