'Legion' Season 1 Episode 4 Spoilers: Summerland Is Under Siege as David Continues Romp Through Haunted Psyche
After taking its audience through a horrific ride inside David's (Dan Stevens) mind, what's coming next on FX's X-Men-inspired series, "Legion"?
In the last episode, after meeting with some resistance from David's mind during one of their memory work sessions, Summerland's head, Melanie (Jean Smart), suggested that they sedate the powerful telepath first before strolling back through his memories. David eventually agreed, but to Melanie and the others' detriment. Since not having David's consciousness only led them through worse consequences, could David have been resisting their intrusion into his mind for their own protection?
The fourth chapter of this psychologically thrilling superhero series takes David's story halfway through its freshman season. In it, the estranged mutant son of Professor X will be in deep trouble after he's trapped in his own mind.

Sedating him may have turned out to be a disadvantage for Melanie, Wallace (Jeremie Harris) and Syd (Rachel Keller), but even worse than that, it has left David alone and defenseless against his own haunted psyche. Will he eventually find a way out or end up losing his mind completely?
But don't superheroes often learn to harness and control their powers when they are cornered and have nowhere else to turn? Then again, for someone as monstrously powerful as David, who has probably not yet reached even a quarter of his full potentials, will unleashing his powers destroy the monsters in his head? Or will it only break the shackles that are keeping him from wreaking havoc in Summerland? Is David really a superhero in the making, or a super villain just bidding his time?
The official promo for the next episode reveals another danger, this one more real and immediate, that threatens to take Summerland down. Could Division III have located the mutants' safe haven, or could this just be part of David's ongoing nightmare? And could Syd be right in assuming that David may be disguising his true memories with fake ones?
