But the previous episode has just drawn in the lines between what's real and what's not, all thanks to a stick figure recap from Rational David — that part of David's mind he created as a backup plan in case of emergency.
An emergency like having his mind and body taken over by the villainous Shadow King, who was currently taking the form of Lenny (Aubrey Plaza), was just the kind of thing that Rational David was made to counter. He takes over, and David suddenly has control over his powers again, which has so long been exploited by the Shadow King.

But the next episode of "Legion" will bring back another threat that's been gunning for David's life since day one. The official trailer for the upcoming season finale pits David against Division 3 once again, who will hardly be a match for him now that he has learned to properly focus his powers.
