'LEGO Marvel Avengers' To Have Approximately 250 Playable Characters & Scenes From Avengers

Video game developer Traveller's Tales and publisher Warner Bros. have revealed that there will be about 250 playable characters in "LEGO Marvel Avengers." The game will also contain sequences from the Avenger movies.

At the recent New York Comic Con event, a new trailer for LEGO Marvel's Avengers was showcased in a way that showed how the gameplay would ride on 'classic sequences from both the first and the second Avengers movies.' It was also revealed that players will also get to play stories and content from past Marvel movies like Iron Man 3 to maintain continuity.

The sequences form the following films will be included in "LEGO Marvel Avengers": "Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger," "Iron Man 3," "Thor: The Dark World" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." Scenes from "Agent Carter" and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. " will also be included. More excitement for kids as The Thanos-Copter & Iron Monger will also be featured.

The game is for children from ages 6-12 hence more playable characters have been added. Arthur Parsons of TT Games says that the game has upwards of 100 new playable characters, probably 250. It is known that thanks to Sony, Spider-Man will not be one of the playable characters. Some confirmed characters are Agents Coulson, Carter & Hill, Thor, Miss Marvel as well as adorable characters like Egghead, Devil Dinosaur, Jack The Moon Boy, Fin Fang Foom and Squirrel Girl have been added.

"LEGO Marvel's Avengers" is going to add humour by including Stan Lee himself in the game.

Stan Lee will be seen suited in a Hulk-Buster type of armor called the Stan-Buster. Parsons cheekily said, "With Lego Marvel Superheros, we wanted to put Stan Lee in that game, it was an excuse for me to meet that man," It seems Stan Lee will have his moment in funny scenes like sweeping the Avengers Tower and easily picking up Thor's hammer.

"LEGO Marvel's Avengers" will also have open-world maps of Manhattan, Malibu, Asgard, Barton Farm, and South Africa. If your kids are crazy about Marvel and its characters, do go for this game. It is scheduled for launch January 26th, 2016.
