Leighton Meester in Sweats: Bright Outlook Despite Dismal Dress (PHOTO)
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester was recently caught filming a scene with on-screen ex Ed Westick. While the actress was all glamour on set, her off set side wardrobe appeared a little less cheery. Bright looks or not though, Meester has one very bright outlook.
Actress Leighton Meester was seen on set filming a scene outside of a New York City hotel. The scene revealed Blair dressed in a colorful flowery dress and yellow overcoat, walking outside the hotel followed by Westick, who plays Chuck, her on-screen ex. Chuck was also well dressed in a classy navy suit and yellow lapel.
However, despite her on -screen good looks, Meester wasn't looking very glammed up while walking the streets of New York City Wednesday. The actress was spotted wearing a gray shirt paired with gray sweat pants and a pair of gray UGG boots.
Meester finished the look off with a brown checkered coat that didn't exactly match her grayscale get up.
Meester's played down look could have something to do with the fact that she isn't exactly looking for the love of her life right now. During a recent interview with Marie Claire, Meester admitted that she wasn't sure she believed much in marriage.
"I'm not sure I ever want to get married," she stated. "The only time a relationship is good is when you really love them. I don't want to hang out with some guy I just like."
The actress has an admitted troubled past, which has likely led to her dismal view on relationships. While growing up, Meester revealed that she has a rough childhood.
"My family has a crazy history," she said.
Both of Meester's parents served time in prison on drug related charges. However, that isn't stopping Meester from looking on the bright side.
"I look back now and I see it in a nice light," the actress commented. "It wasn't uncomplicated. But I played outside. I went to the beach. There were happy, fun times."
Meester suggested that she wouldn't be letting the challenges in her life bring her down anytime soon.
"You can take what is handed to you and use it as an excuse to mess up. But I've always handled what was given to me by life. I consider myself lucky. I was never lied to. And I was loved," said the actress.
