Lenovo Vibe S1 Releases in India, Features 5-Inch Display, Dual Front Cameras
Chinese electronics company Lenovo has finally launched the Vibe S1 in India during an event in New Delhi. According to Tech 2, the device can be purchased exclusively on Amazon India and will have a price tag of Rs 15,999.
The highlight of the device is its dual front cameras which will really attract selfie enthusiasts. As detailed by IBN Live, the handset has an 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel front camera. The company, at the time of launch, explained that the 8-megapixel is tasked with capturing the sharpest photos while the 2-megapixel is made to analyze the depth of field information.
"These two cameras work in tandem to unleash a myriad of new possibilities that can give selfies a creative twist," says Lenovo.

The handset's camera app also features several built-in photo editing tools like the Blur, which allows refocusing anywhere on the photo for up to three focal plains. There's also the Cut Out which lets the user cut out people from a selfie and then overlays them on a different image. The "bokeh" effect lets users customize the background of the selfie.
GSM Arena detailed that other specs of the device include a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection, 2500 mAh battery and a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash. Under its hood is the operating system Android 5.0 Lollipop and a 64-bit 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor. It also has 3GB of RAM and offers a built-in storage of 32 GB, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.
The smartphone also supports 4G LTE connectivity along with other features like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 and microUSB v2.0. In terms of its design, the smartphone sports a curved glass back panel. It's 7.8 mm thin and weighs 132 grams. It also comes in three color options which are Pearl White, Midnight Blue and Champagne Gold.
