Let God Take Care of the Details
On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark. They had with them every wild animal according to its kind, all livestock according to their kinds, every creature that moves along the ground according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings. Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark. The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in. (Genesis 7:13-16 NIV)
According to some scholars, 45,000 animals would have fit into the ark. That's beyond incredible! When God told Noah to gather up the animals, he could easily been overwhelmed by the task. Would he and his sons have to spend years running all over the earth gathering up all these animals? That's a challenge in itself, not to mention all the harnesses and pens it would take to house them, along with the food to feed them, etc., not only while the ark was being built, but also while they were all confined to the ark during the flood. If Noah had sat down to make a "to do" list, he'd never have gotten the ark built in the first place!
But Noah didn't rely on himself. He had been given an assignment by God, and he trusted God with the details. He did what God told him to do, and left the rest to God. Since God created all creatures, it is certainly within His power to control them. From what scripture says, when it came time to put the animals in the ark, all Noah had to do was open the door and get out of the way. God took care of gathering the animals. All Noah had to do was be obedient.

In our own lives, it's easy to get bogged down in the details. If we allow it to happen, pretty soon the forest disappears because we're too busy worrying about individual trees. What we forget is that God is much more detail oriented than any of us ever thought of being. Just look at the detail He put into His creation. And He's big enough to handle the most minute of details without losing His focus on the forest.
If you're letting details prevent you from accomplishing what God has given you to do, remember Noah. If you're letting details that you can't control prevent you from correcting things that you can (like your attitude, your priorities, your responsibilities, your relationships), remember Noah. Let God handle the details. You do what He's told you to do.
