Levi Johnston Seeking Full Custody of Son Tripp, 'Disgusted' By Bristol Palin's Parenting
Levi Johnston, the ex-boyfriend of reality TV star Bristol Palin, is seeking full custody of their son Tripp following a recent incident involving the toddler.
Johnston, 22, is said to be "disgusted" after witnessing his son use offensive language on Palin's reality show "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp," and now believes that Tripp will be better off in his care, according to new reports.
"[Tripp] deserves a better family. I love my son more than anything .. and I will do whatever it takes to make sure he is raised the right way," a heated Johnston told TMZ.
Johnston, who was recently photographed picking up the necessary documents at a courthouse in Wasilla, Alaska, said that he fears that his three-year-old son is on a "downward spiral" and getting "no real parenting" while in Palin's care.
The custody dispute follows a recent episode of Palin's Lifetime show titled "New Beginnings," in which Tripp has an on-camera tantrum.
The toddler throws a temper tantrum when Palin, 21, and his Aunt Willow tell him that he cannot go to the pool.
"Go away, you [expletive]," Tripp is heard yelling during his meltdown. While the subtitles show Tripp saying "Go away, you f---!" critics believe that the toddler may have actually used a homophobic slur, which Palin recently denied.
"As I've said before, I sometimes struggle to raise Tripp. However, he does NOT use slurs. Let me be clear. I'm not proud of what he did say. Sadly, he used a different "f word," Palin posted in a statement on her personal blog page.
Palin has not yet publicly responded to Johnston's parenting criticism.
