LG at MWC 2017 News: Company to Unveil Smartphone With 4,500 mAh Battery

LG recently announced that they are going to unveil a smartphone with a 4,500-milliampere hour battery at the Mobile World Congress that kicks off this weekend in Barcelona, Spain.

Like the gracious company that they are when it comes to providing details about yet-to-be released products, the South Korean technology firm has already confirmed the arrival of the LG X Power2 that they say was "designed for demanding users."

In a news release posted on Friday, LG announced, "LG X power2, designed for users who specifically seek large battery capacities and big screens for power-heavy multimedia user and gaming enthusiasts, will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona, Spain."

It is important to note though that most of the specifications of the LG X Power2 are pretty typical. It will run with a 1.5-gigahertz octa-core chipset and will sport a 5.5-inch high definition display. The upcoming smartphone will arrive with a 13-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 5MP shooter for selfies.

In terms of memory allotment, what the LG X Power2 has to offer might sound underwhelming. The smartphone with a larger-than-usual battery pack will only run with either 1.5 GB or 2 GB random access memory paired with a standard a 16 GB read-only memory. On a good note though, it will sport a Micro SD slot that can support up to 2TB additional space.

Another exciting feature to look forward to in the LG X Power2 would be the pre-installed Android 7.0 Nougat.

On the other hand, LG is also set to unveil the highly anticipated LG G6 that boasts an 18:9 screen ratio in a 5.7-inch quad high-definition display.

From the same news release cited above, LG said that the X Power2 will be released sometime in March starting in Latin America. This will be followed by its rollout in other markets like the United States, Asia, Europe and more.

Meanwhile, LG has also promised to announce the smartphone's price by the time it hits the market.
