LG G3 vs. Apple iPhone 6: Which Smartphone Trumps the Competition?
The Internet has been filled with the iPhone 6 since the day it was unveiled and it would seem that way for the coming months. However, comparisons are arising between the Cupertino company's flagship and its Android competitors, one of them LG's G3 flagship. The Apple iPhone 6 was most anticipated smartphone the year has seen, but how does it fare against its Android competition?
For the display size, the G3 has a 5.5-inch true HD-IPS LCD touchscreen with a 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution screen. This puts it at 534 pixels per inch. The iPhone 6 on the other hand has two sizeswith different screen resolutions, but both variants have the Retina display.
The 4.7-inch variant has a screen resolution of 1337 x 750 while the 5.5-inch variant has a full HD screen resolution of 1920 x 1080. Even with the Retina display, the G3 still beats both iPhone variants in terms of screen resolution.
For the hardware, the G3 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.5GHz Krait 400 processor with an Adreno 330 GPU. The 16GB variant goes with a 2GB RAM while the 32GB variant has 3GB of RAM.
Both iPhone variants on the other hand sports the new second generation 64-bit A8 chipset with an M8 motion coprocessor. The iPhone 6 has three internal memory variants, the 16GB, the 64GB, and the 128GB. RAM-wise, Apple stuck with its 1GB RAM.
Both phones are pretty expensive though with the G3 going for around $750 while the iPhone 6 goes for $650 for the 16GB variant.
