LG G5 Leaked in Dubai Website Confirms Rumors
A new report reveals the LG G5 appeared on a Dubai website recently. The leaked images appear to align with rumors.
PhoneArena spotted the LG G5 on Dubizzle, a Dubai site for selling used items, on Tuesday, Feb. 16. The listing has now been removed, but according to the publication's report, the poster got a pre-release unit imported from the United States, complete with a valid IMEI and original packaging. The LG G5 was selling for 2,500 dirhams or about $680.
The images boost previous rumors about the LG G5. The leaked photos show that the unit has a unibody metal case. An image showing the device's back case also shows a dual-camera setup, a fingerprint scanner, and the G5 logo. The volume rockers can be seen located at the side. However, it can't be ascertained through the pictures if the device has a second screen, as speculation suggests.

In addition to these features, the LG G5 is also rumored to have a microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 32 GB and a USB Type-C Charging Port. The phone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor with 4 GB RAM and will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The device's battery is purported to be a 3,000 mAH removable and replaceable unit, and it's touted to have a 5.3- or 5.5-inch Quantum HD display.
The LG G5 will be the first of two flagship phones that the company plans on releasing to the market this year. LG will officially unveil the new LG G5 during the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC). The device's launch will be on the same day as Samsung's press conference where it is expected to reveal its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. This smartphone showdown between LG and Samsung will happen during MWC 2016 in Barcelona, Spain this Sunday, Feb. 21. It's just a few more days before fans will finally see the new device in the flesh and learn its specifications and features.
